Super Bowl LIX: This is Super Sunday

Writer: SHANK MediaSHANK Media

The thrilling conclusion to an epic NFL season takes place at Caesars Superdome this evening, as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans. The Chiefs are bidding to become the first ever franchise to win three successive Super Bowl titles, and lift a fifth Vince Lombardi trophy, further extending their dominance in the sport.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are set to entertain a global audience and a sold out watching crowd of 73,000 at the Caesars Superdome, and the world is expecting a compelling contest for the right to be NFL Champions.

The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the NFL's historic franchises, being established in 1933, and winning 3 NFL Championships prior to the NFL-AFL merger in 1970. The Eagles have gone on to win the Super Bowl once (Super Bowl LII), and this is going to be their fifth appearance in the big game.

The Chiefs and the Eagles squared off in a dramatic Super Bowl in February 2023, with the Chiefs claiming the Vince Lombardi Trophy by just 3 points (38-35).
